The USPTO recently described important requirements of their “Next Gen” patent examination system. We are currently arranging to provide TeamPatent’s knowledge and technology for this integration effort. If, as we expect, TeamPatent is provided as an electronic filing method, patent professionals will be able to enjoy our intuitive preparation software with access to the same validation tools as used by examiners.
We have some important new features to announce:
- View / Errors pane lists all errors in the formalities in one place.
- Claim Outliner pane shows antecedent basis errors.
- File / Export adds the WIPO XML specification. While this is no longer supported by the USPTO, it’s a demonstration that TeamPatent can easily export to PTO structured formats.
